Dundee Art Society
Dundee Art Society has received valuable financial assistance from Alexander Moncur Trust recently for the purchase of display boards, donkey easels and drawing boards.
As a Society that is run by volunteers from our members, since our foundation in 1890, all funds received make a huge difference in continuing our aim to make sure ‘Art is for All to enjoy’.
The Donkey easels and drawing boards have made a significant difference to the overall experience for the artist in particular attending our life drawing classes. Many find the seated support a more natural position to work, They also offered the additional benefit of allowing more people to work within the same space.
The display boards provided the perfect system for displaying the work from the primary school art completion we run on behalf of the WestEnd Christmas Fortnight initiative. The new display panels offer us a far more flexible system that allowed us to use normally unused areas within the Roseangle Gallery as part of the societies annual Exhibitions.
The society are very grateful to the Trust for these awards that have allowed for the addition of these valuable assets which will be in use for many years.
